Anatomy practice!
I tried to do anatomy!May 3, 2021Comments
Keep it up! I wouldn’t call this an “anatomy study” since you’re not studying particular muscle/bone groups and incorporating them into the drawing but for a general “human proportion” drawing this doesnt look too bad.
If i were to make two suggestions it would be to:
1. Dont be afraid to draw those hands as they can make a big impact on the types of drawings you can make.
2. Just jump into making drawings with humans in it, drawing these blank bodies are okay practice but it can make turning it into an actual drawing intimidating.
Best of luck

Start with breaking down the skeleton.
I noticed these are super off centre. Draw a straight line from the middle of the head to the ground, that will help.

•This all look really good so far! I do recommend using shaped, mostly for the body as well as try a bit of dynamic posing! You may also look at references to see different ways on how people may interpret a figure. But, still these actually look great, just remember to keep on practicing! :)

Try to simply relax while trying this out! Use shapes like triangles and things to get the hang of where the muscles go! Figure out a way that YOU can sketch the body. Some people use different techniques, some use triangles for joints, others squares or circles, so practice different techniques to find out which One helps you the most! But good job so far!!

•It's really good practice! There's a site called quickpose I think and if you practise drawing poses from there i think it'd help you a lot!!!

•I think that you’re off to a great start. I would start breaking the body down into shapes and look at proportions (for instance the body is normally around 7 heads tall). It’s also good to look at references. Overall these are looking great!

•Try to flip the canvas from time to time to see if your character is leaning too much :3 but it’s good start

•this is cool!!! it’s great that you’re trying anatomy! what really helps me is breaking different parts of the body down into simple shapes, like i separate the arms and legs at the elbow/knee and then use rectangles/triangles/other shapes to indicate the body part and make it more structured? i hope that makes sense, i would be happy to explain more in detail if needed!
