If you find a way maybe talk to some RCA students! I'm sure many struggled with the same questions as you before deciding to apply!

Building a portfolio for admissions is a lot of work for sure, but anything that challenges your artistry will definitely help you in the future, bc it's insane of how much better your own skills get after that whole process 😭 like whether or not you end up going to uni, the portfolio you made can always be used for things like galleries or commissions

And tbh I mostly went to uni bc I felt like I needed to have a degree, and even if I like my program I sometimes feel like it doesn't always teach me the things I really want to get into, specific skills you could learn much faster elsewhere

So uni really isn't everything, so if you end up taking another path the work and time you put in now can absolutely help you in that direction too
But what if you get accepted.

I love art uni so.... 😗
also punching the air every time my RCA alumni tutors say just apply like they know if I’d get in or not just tell me the truth sosksk
