Holy bushes you can pick durring winter and 
hibiscus flowers. I think you should be able to go to a tropical island that's hard to find (get at rare random with nook miles) that has tortimer on it that has some. Maybe you can do mini games or hunt for materials on this island and he'll teach you how to craft tropical themed furniture.

I feel like dragonfruit could be a fun fruit! apparently dragonfruits can only grow if there's a full moon?? I'm not sure, but it would be such a fun gimmick and could probably be sold for high amounts of bells! and for flower, I agree with your lilypad idea! it could be so cute in rivers and it could be used for diys and make such cute items!
