I heard an art advice somewhere that when drawing the shoulders, you should try to make them uneven?
Otherwise, your drawing might appear stiff. Like, that's it's okay for one shoulder to be a bit higher than the other

Mmm, not exactly? I’ve never heard of that before & shoulders aren’t usually noticeably uneven.
If there’s a certain pose or angle, then yeah, they should be uneven; but otherwise, no.

It depends on the vibe you want- uneven shoulders can definitely add liveliness to a bust, so I tend to draw then that way a lot! However, even shoulders don’t have to be stiff; they can also evoke a calm, laid-back feeling, so both are valid options! If you’re concerned that a bust looks stiff with even shoulders, you could also vary the position of the head—and if the shoulders are slanted, making the head slant a different way could add even more visual interest!

It is good advice if that is pose you are going for. Stiffness also comes from linework or just insecure about anatomy thst can be seen. If your linework is flowy and confident even if you do even shoulders it will be more natural then stiff. I think using right reference can help a lot
