Hi! I'm here since a few months I think so I'm not an expert, but I can help you!
Here are some things I learned about Artfol:
-There is no strange algorithm deciding if your posts are worth of showing or not, everything is in chronological order! So everyone has the same possibility to get engament!
-Tags are not very important here since there are not trends or algorithms, but they are useful when someone is searching for something specific! BUT the only tag that is very important is "# question". This tag will automatically put your post in the questions sections!
-Always put filters to art when needed, the NSFW filter is also for nudity and not only 18+ stuff, while the Gore filter is also for bl**d mild stuff (but I suggest putting a custom filter and explaining it)
-There are three categories of art posts, the normal one when you just share your art; the "challenge" category is for when you want to create a challenge (so NOT for when you want to partecipate in one); the "asking for critique" category is ONLY for people who need help with a piece or genuinely need criticism
-I suggest not spamming art all at once, because it will clog the Recent section and this can get you reported and/or banned
