Okay but it's pretty damn obvious that Reigen is telling the truth. He isn't brainwashed he's just baiting Shigeo's jealousy and weight of responsibility so he will step up to the plate to face dimple and become a leader of his own accord. Sometimes doubt can inspire a person. This is also Reigen's excuse as to why he isn't going up there to fight. He's gonna blend in and strike when the time is right.
To second this, Mob was actually getting a little attention, from his own friends but they simply forgot to show up bc of dimple. Not because of dimples brain washing. It's just he misunderstood the other bit of it.
Dimple is also so stupid and is not at all a threat. Hence it seems like a big deal but we know it wont be. He already knows that he can't control mobs emotions nor brainwash him and despite the power he's feeling he will easily lose again. Dimple is the distraction and he will be having his own arc in this to figure out what he wants out of his ghostly existence. Mob isn't going to rule a bunch of people either. He'll get a taste of it but then when the broccoli falls everyone will forget wtf they were doing with the religion. I think mob will be relieved as the pressure will be too much for now but he'll try out some more leadership roles at school like he did with the festival haunted house.
But if the dimple plot is an aside, who or what will be the big conflict. I was kind of hoping it would be the yokai as it adds a new species to the fray but of course lol. Will Regien get some budding psychic powers by the end of this? Is he going to have another crisis like he did in mob 2? I feel like this maybe the case bc in the opening it showed him and mob stressing and being emotional and both were the focus. Not the side characters like we saw in the mob 2 opening.Oct 27, 2022
