Just so you know, we’ve been having a problem with some fantasy-race-obsessed accounts on here for a while, all highly suspected (with evidence) to be the same person. The series of dwarf accounts started in November while the elf accounts started around May.
If you suddenly receive/see a comment/DM asking you to draw elf characters &/or join their challenge, (said challenge asks you to draw their elf characters for free) that’s very likely to be spiritomb1831, but using a different username. Most users refer to them as “elf guy.” Their currently known (& not banned) accounts on Artfol are @/elenwen, @/starelf, @/gondolinfolk, & @/myriadofcolours, in case you’d like to block them.

If you suddenly receive/see a comment or post that brings up the following: talking about how dwarves are great/mighty/the best race & elves suck, promoting violence against LGBT+ folks, promoting s*xual violence & torture towards women (& elves), telling users to off themselves, insulting/harassing/bullying users; it’s very likely to be who we’ve dubbed, “dwarf guy.” They’re HIGHLY suspect with some semi-iffy, semi-solid evidence to be spiritomb1831. (It’s hard to gather evidence with all of their accounts banned.) Their accounts’ usernames tend have the keywords “dwarf,” “mountain,” or “supremacist” in the username &/or a user who’s profile picture is sometimes art of a bald bearded man (or a dwarf.) Sometimes the PFP is left blank.
All of these accounts tend to make the exact same grammatical mistakes, misspellings, & bring up the same topics of elves, dwarves, LOTR, & women/elves being tortured, mutilated, or “non-consentually touched” to word that lightly. Their art challenges tend to go off on huge worldbuilding/character/elf establishing tangents & aren’t really related to the challenge at all.
Only one elf account (we know of) has been banned so far, & all 9 of the dwarf accounts (that we know of) have been banned; 6 of the dwarf accounts were banned within an hour to 30 minutes after being active; AKA spam-harassing users. The Devs are (at least) fully aware about “dwarf guy,” which is how the accounts tend to be banned so quickly! These accounts aren’t active very often, the dwarf accounts only pop up once a week & with the help from the Devs, aren’t usually active for more than an hour.
If you do see one of their posts or a comment on a post, (either yours or someone else’s) it’s best to NOT INTERACT. It’s hard to tell for certain if these accounts/that user is a troll, but considering their persistence with about 30 known usernames across the internet, it’s likely they’re so obsessed/passionate/lustful about elves/women, they won’t stop until they have no access to the internet at all.
If you see any of their content that can be reported (spamming people for free art, art theft, unprompted harassment/bullying, etc) please do report the account, (2 dotted icon on a profile or post will let you report things) summarize what they’ve done in the report & link the OG art when applicable, block the account, & if they commented on one of your posts, delete the comment like nothing happened. The more reports an account or post gets from multiple users, the higher it goes on the devs’ list to investigate & take proper action! Apparently, they can’t ban IP addresses because it’s too expensive; roughly $1,000 expensive & buying a new IP address only costs like $25-$35, so it’s not exactly a worthwhile investment a small app can make!
Despite all of that mess, Artfol has still been a chill place to be!
