Ensor with mask
A while back I had to research an artist and make remakes of their works while experimenting with materials. I chose to do research on the Belgian artist James Ensor. I made a remake of one of his most well-known paintings “self portrait with masks”. I used pastel chalks on a 60x40 brown paper. If you know the original work, you’ll see that i’ve made a few changes, such as the mask Ensor himself is wearing.Overall, I had a lot of fun drawing this remake and i’m pretty content with how it turned out :) enjoy your day!Apr 25, 2021
