My favorite artists 💞🥰💖💕✨It’s hard to pick just a few but here they are:

1. Matsuo Hiromi — I love her elegance and femininity and how she draws flowers! I wish I could draw such pretty girls 😔💕

2. Kan Liu — I’m in awe of his lighting, composition and storytelling. His style is so clear like breathing fresh air! I really want to do some studies of his illustrations

3. Kozaki Yusuke — His artwork for fire emblem fates was what got me into drawing many years ago! I used to copy so many of his drawings back then 😂 I love his dynamic poses and how each of his characters have a unique face, even girls which is somewhat unusual for manga style.

4. Mochipanko — I looove her style!! How it’s simple but also detailed?? And the animals and plants she draws are so cute! I love her ootd drawings too!

5. TB Choi — omg I admire her skill so much!! The anatomy and perspective! I want to learn this too 🥺 my lineart is very much influenced by hers!

6. Katsushika Hokusai — He’s here to represent Japanese woodblock prints! I find the difference between European oil paintings and these prints so interesting! Where the paintings are more focused on light and shadow shapes, the prints show the shapes of each object. That’s why I think they’re a great reference for simplicity, for example I try to use only flat colors and gradients for my chibis. Plus they’re just beautiful!

7. Bouguereau — I love how he painted skin so much! It looks so soft and warm, something I want to learn too 🥰

8. Eva Smith — I love her mix of lineart and painterly shading! And the way she colors her lines. She has a v cute chibi style too that inspired me a lot!

They’re not ordered by anything btw I love them all the same 🥰

Some honorable mentions:
Loish,
JC Leyendecker (I want to study him!),
左/Hidari (the character designer for fire emblem echoes),
Detective Conan‘s style (my childhood anime 💕)
