I did another digital art piece once again, and this time it is my entry for a draw-this-in-your-style challenge hosted by Carlianne_Tipsey. This work is one of my baby steps as I learn kidlit style art, nice and bright, with a soft and playful mood.In the artwork, I drew a cute elf boy filled with Christmas joy. He leans a bit forward, with his small hands held close to his chest, like he cannot hold his cheer in. His eyes are shut tight in a big laugh, and his mouth is wide open, showing pure glee. He wears a green elf outfit with pale cuffs, simple and cosy, and a pointy hat in green and yellow that sits lightly on his curly golden hair. His cheeks look warm and rosy, as if he has been laughing for a long time.
I think the artwork turns out fine, and I am glad I tried this style. Still, since I am only taking baby steps in kidlit art, I know there are parts I must improve next time, like shape control, soft lines, and a stronger story in the pose. Even so, this piece makes me happy, and it feels like a good start on this path.Dec 18, 2025
