“Due to labour shortage in animation” ABSOLUTELY NOT. A labour shortage for animation/art in Japan??? That’s like saying there’s a cowboy shortage in Texas! There’s no way, pretty sure Japan is like that capital of 2d animation in the world. Plus, apparently the studio behind laid off a bunch of artists before this. Yeah no they’re cutting costs, plain and simple. So stupid, pay animators more, simple as that. Ai in creative workforces needs to be regulated NOW.
Video sucked anyways. And of course they only used ai for the bgs so no one would notice. They were dull and uninspired. Mt Fuji got screwed up lmao. No creative usage of colour theory whatsoever, ugly and too busy with the leaves. Actually the whole short looked really cheaply made. How sad.
