Mahar Worldbuilding - Agmār
Art from January 2021Depicts cheap/casual vs expensive/formal clothing. Agmāri are a very practical people and expensive clothing means quality fabric that will last longer, rather than looking pretty. The class divide is rather small, but well off Agmāri can be seen wearing expensive dyes, either in their hair or clothing.
- Agmār -
The second hybrid nation in Mahar (the first one being their neighbor Kenan).
Agmār is a democracy led by a triumvirate and a council. It has no state religion, but the Triad has a very important cultural role, and its impact can be seen in many aspects of life (the triumvirate being one of them, but also: gender, family structure, death rituals...). Other religions are tolerated.
Due to their high hybrid population, they're culturally vegetarian, and omnivorous diets are outlawed, as killing animals is akin to murder.
Hybrids, humans, and dreqs are equals in regards to the law, but dreqs still face some discrimination.
The climate is mostly tropical, although their capital, Dākur, is in a more temperate region.
- Notes -
This is the first nation in Mahar I started working on, so it's more developed than the others. I'll still post about the other nations and what I have on them so far. They're still in constant evolution, so I might go back and update these posts.Apr 14, 2021
