What do you guys think of this piece? I am still in a bit of a funk when it comes to art however I’m trying to get myself out of it…Any support shown on this post is appreciated

This is looking great so far! I think her eyeballs need more glisten/white highlights. More contrast/sharpness around her lips. And the shading on her hand is warmer and brighter than the shading on her face and shoulders, so it’s important to pick one shading temperature throughout in order to make it cohesive. And this is subjective but I’d suggest making the line of her hair on the left less completely vertical; even if it means deviating from the reference a bit, it will make her hair look more organic, especially if you don’t plan/want to put more highlights in its coloration.

•I would work on making the lighting of the hand match that I’d the face, maybe try to find one lighting reference to base all your shadows on. Good job so far!

the biggest think I would say is the shading around the jawline and chin, because the darkness of it is pretty distracting and sets off the skin tone on the face
I would say realistically, it’s more likely/understandable if the neck would have that dark shading and the side of the face where the hair hangs, but not below
also personally I would say the bangs don’t need that shading! shadows of bangs only fall right below or in between the bangs, and I think the shading there is too much, because instead of shading for hair it seems like the shape of the head, in which if that were the case bangs should be a bit sloping right and not falling straight down

Other than that, the only critique I think I'd have is maybe about the shadows under the face. You use a rather black colour for shading and it makes the skin look a bit grayish. I think it could help if you'd use a warmer darker skincolour instead, like a warm brown. The shadow on the chin seems a little too dark. The shadows there create more distance from the hand (which I don't think you are trying to achieve since she is resting her head on it!)
This is all just nitpicking though, it is an awesome piece and the amount of detail is STUNNING!!
