The Old Man Who Went To Sea
(Aka, The Lighthouse Keeper) This one took me FOREVER but I made it on Ibis paint and I'm really proud of it.My best advice if you think this looks good is, especially when you're drawing old people,
Just keep adding more details. Don't do the shading and just let the skin be smooth, give it texture, give it varying shades, wrinkles, bumps, pores, veins, highlight and shadow those wrinkles and bumps, and never be afraid to use a reference, I couldn't have done this one without references.
To achieve that bounding sky look, I used the cloud brush, a couple different layers of clouds, merged them together, then I used the warp tool to bubble it out to give it that dimensional sky look.Mar 29, 2021
