Day 21: „Sun“

This little sun watching the corn and sunflowers grow on a field might look super simple, but I had to work against all my natural artistic instincts to break everything down into these shapes and not do any shading like I wanted to but still make it look good… how is this way of working so challenging?

I‘m just so used to doing the lineart first and then the color, because everything is already fixed and in place.

Here it‘s the complete opposite. I‘m all the more happy with the outcome though, she reminds me of the games I played on my Nintendo DS as a kid/teenager, hiding in the little corner behind my door when I should have been doing homework.
