Ya know one of my many pet peeves?
When I'm trying to watch a YouTube video, and I put on subtitles cause I have a hard time hearing. Or understanding what is being said. Idk if I have an auditory processing problem (I probably do) or if it's my ADHD, autism, whatever the case. But I NEED subtitles on while watching anything online I just do.
But it's so so annoying when people who makes these subtitles think it's 'funny' to put in 'jokes' or something along those lines ALONG WITH THE SUBTITLES. Like DUDE I don't care about your stupid jokes, I don't care about your opinion. I JUST NEED TO KNOW WHAT IS BEING SAID OMFG
and Markipliers videos are the major source of this. I guess cause he's popular?? Idk I don't really watch a lot of popular channels so maybe that's why. But omfg. It is so so damn annoying...Mar 26, 2022

The entire point of subtitles is so if you’re reading them, you’ll get the same experience as you would without them. I’ve personally never came across a video that had that, but geez that would make me so angry so fast.
I use subtitles quite a lot because of ADHD, they just help me understand what’s going on. Unfortunately, they either are Youtube’s auto-generated garbage, or they’re not actually accurate to what is being said; like entire sentences are excluded because the Youtuber thought they weren’t important to add.
Plus, all of the movies that just say “speaking in (language here)” instead of saying “(in language) direct translation of what is being said” make me so angry.
Luca & Turning Red immediately come to mind with this issue.
It’s not even that hard to do subtitles! I once tried to do the subtitles for a Jacksepticeye Little Nightmares video (for some reason I don’t think it actually went through) & it was pretty easy to transcribe everything that was said & time it up correctly!

That seems so irritating. It really shows how they don’t think about the hard of hearing or people like you which need to have proper subtitles. I sometimes watch things with subtitles and very often (especially on YouTube) I think about how it would be almost impossible to follow if I actually couldn’t hear due to how many errors or missed words there are
