Do you guys think that the professional looking art is overshadowing everybody else's art & giving unrealistic expectations when it comes to the overall final result of one's drawing?

Or is it just me?

Not really. "Professional" quality art is still made by people just like you and me, and they deserve recognition for their skill just like we do. People work hard to get where they are and it's not really fair to say they overshadow anyone. Good art gets people's attention, that's just how it works.

Imagine working on your art for years and years, finally getting a style that you're proud of, only to have other people blame you for THEIR art not performing well? Imagine them wanting you to not get views or attention because suddenly your art is TOO good and they're upset. That'd make you feel pretty horrible.

As for the unrealistic expectations, that's a personal issue. Art is a skill that takes years to work on, and you have to have patience until you reach a skill level you're happy with. Everyone starts somewhere and has to work their way up. It's not really the fault of the "good" artists if someone else has low self esteem or impatience. We're all human.
With my own art, definitely. I usually don’t compare others’ art to professional pieces tho.
@sima_m_art that makes sense but, what happens you adapt the principle, but the majority of the other viewers who look at a person's drawing compares it to a professional artist & give it little to no attention what so ever when it comes to thier standards & the average person's standard? It's common now with the abundance of art works being posted millions of times every 5 minutes, that people are bound to compare it to one another... maybe it's the marketing these professionals put towards thier work & brand to round up the views that impacts them more then you're generic artist who only posts? But then again that's just me assuming 🤐
Oh, to me, when I see a great masterpiece painting, I usually look, admire, and try not to compare too much (I fail often tho), but rather maybr look at it as a future of my artwork, and painting skills, that with time, practice and more practice, I too can get there, paint that and that, and be happy with the results. And I often go back to artworks that I thought a few months were just superior, I would never paint that etc, and when I look and compare to my current state of skills, I see my growth. I take it as an inspiration and aspiration.
