I prefer linedrawing. I have no idea how to draw without lineart

Hmm tough question. I like doing both but I don’t paint much because it takes me longer and the longer I work on art the more I get streased. But then again I start colouring before I finish lineart a lot of times cause I don’t want to do the complicated bits lol. I’d say depends on the day a bit bit more so lineart cause that’s what I mostly do.

I love doing lineart! Colouring/shading is always my least favourite part. Doing painted art could be neat since it looks so nice but then I'd have to skip my favourite step!

Painting! I only like lining and sketching traditionally. I just finished sketching something digitally and,,, it was tough to say the least

BOTH! But not on the same piece! If I do a linedrawing it shall never turn into a painting and viceversa. At least most of the times

I do both. A start out with tracing out shapes over the original reference (triangles, circles, other lines, etc) and then roughly copy it on another canvas, using the shaped lined art as a reference, and then I make another canvas and use my rough lineart as another reference and by the third try I’ve gotten the proportions week adjusted. I paint underneath the final lineart, and I don’t usually keep it once I begin painting details, I just erase it as I go

Painting! I threw lineart away a few weeks ago and it feels amazing!! I paint right on top of my sketch or sometimes I use no sketch at all. As satisfying as it is seeing and creating clean lineart, it feels super limiting to me and the messy type of art style I wish to achieve

I am BAD at drawing without lineart, although I love when other artists paint more. It looks so satisfying, how can you keep the shape?? the closest I got to proper lineness art was hiding the lineart layer at last and smoothing out the corners haha
