TMNT Root of Evil: Shell Katakana

Root of Evil is a TMNT alternate universe that's currently in progress, it was established sometime in the 2010s and is still in the works

When Saben was little and when the turtles were hatchlings, the little princess would grab some paint and carefully write katakana on their shells so she could differentiate them~ She considered these hatchlings her friends and loved them dearly...until disaster struck later down the line.

In short, the turtles went by Japanese names before Splinter decided to rename them to the ninjas we know today.
