I don't like to make assumptions abt the meanings of other ppl's artwork bc for all we know it could mean absolutely nothing. So the only thought I have of it is that it's just a little creepy picture but there is no inherit meaning unless you state so.
I just checked it out (hope I found the right one, haha!) My first thought is that it depicts a person's insecurity? Some people tend to doubt others whenever they're told that they are "beautiful inside and out," that no matter what, they still have worth. Even tho it's something that they want to accept and agree to, they just can't help but get held back by that other thought that seem to loom behind their back, saying "oh really? you really think so? you're so naive!"

Another thought that I had is fear, or specifically: the fear of being imperfect. Nowadays, many display this "perfect image" of themselves and it makes them feel fulfilled to hear other people's praises. However, what if that image shatters? What would people think when they see who they really are? Their flaws, their faults-- all in the open area. Even if they reassure themselves that it's fine, there's still that anxiety. And for that, it makes them feel vulnerable and afraid of being found out.

Not sure if I even made any sense, but these are my takes so far. 😅🍀
