@michiisin_art's post on Artfol

My engagement and reach had really gone down on Instagram, like I was going on minus, but I changed my category from "artist" to like "service" and my engagement went through the roof. I don't know if it's a coincidence or if it really just is that IG hates artists πŸ˜‚ how many of you still use Instagram?Jan 29, 2021

If it's not coincidence then it'd make sense because artists are often stuck in their hustle and also see a lot of art. It might be harder to get their attention than a non-artists account. If you see your category to service, maybe insta shows your account to different people? Just a theory but I do think it's coincidence. Instagram's algorithm is def a mystery box

I still use insta, most of my followers are there ^^"" I wanna try dat trick too... hehe, might works. My posts aren't really flopping but maybe that's because I stopped paying attention to likes and shares. It hurts. I don't wanna be defined by numbers given by strangers on internet...

I vote for insta hates us βœ‹
But I mean... why tho πŸ˜‚πŸ’” artists are like the sweetest beings on earth, why you gotta treat them like that??
I still use insta, but mainly because of really sweet people who make me want to draw more ,yes my posts are flopping, no engagement is happening... but I feel like I should be there to support my fellow supporters πŸ₯Ί (that went deeper than I intended it to be πŸ˜‚)
