Self Portrait
This is painting I did in 2019 when I first bought my acrylic inks. My intention with this piece in particular was to paint a portrait of myself, in my style AND to try my hand at Acrylic Inks for the first time. I also intended to paint a self portrait with inks every year to check my progress with inks, illustration and place in life.But it's 2021 now and admittedly i did not paint another portrait last year and have yet to do one this year. I have been working a lot with the inks and with liquid watercolor. I have not redrawn/painted another portrait because this is still mostly where I find myself.
I have redraw/painted this specific piece, but nothing new. Last year and this year have been a lot as I'm sure they have for EVERYONE. This is a representation of my struggle before the Pancake, during and after.
