Apparently I have to pay a montly subscription on ClipStudioPaint if I want to use it on a tablet.
Does anyone have good art app recommendations for on a tablet?Nov 26, 2023

I've been using affinity photo, mostly for photo editing but you can draw in it too, BUT, sadly just for desktop or iPad.. it is a pay once & have forever though. (And currently 29-11 it's 40% off)

What kind of device/tablet do you have? If you have an iPad, Procreate all the way. I don't have a lot of "one-time payment" recommendations for other standalone tablets because I am CSP all the way on a hybrid laptop/tab setup that runs Desktop Windows (which I specifically got instead of a normal tablet because I wanted to avoid having to do a monthly sub)

•Ibispaint is a surprisingly good free option, Procreate is popular on IOS, and Krita has come out with a free mobile version too. In my experience Krita doesn't translate well to mobile but it's worth trying out.

•Clip really is the best. Procreate is worth trying. If you’re used to clip, i notice those who like clip don’t always like procreate. Mu favorite non-csp app is Art Studio Pro but I think it’s only on iOS. Infinite painter is good, too, though it’s missing some of the more complex features in clip studio that procreate and art studio do have most of. Personally, I just do the subscription for csp. I have few subs and it’s worth it for something I like so much. Some other options that I don’t use much but have a lot of fans and good features are Sketchbook, Adobe Fresco (the free version), and Affinity Designer (which I used to use for years on desktop, but it also has an app)

•I really recommend procreate, you pay once and you can use it forever. I like that it’s really intuitive to use and I use it for my art ( so my opinion might be a it biased)
