Hiya all I don't make text posts very often but I have very recently come to the realization that I have aphantisa which means I don't have the ability to visualize things in my head! I didn't know people actually saw things when you were told. To imagine things all I can do is make up a description! I try to visualize something no matter what it is it could be a family member's face that's right in front of me and I can't there's nothing! I still dream and stuff but I can't see anything unless I'm asleep! You know how in shows and movies they show people seeing numbers floating above their heads? I genuinely thought that was just an exaggeration I didn't know that people actually can see numbers and math problems literally in their head :p So what's all this rambling for? Well I wanted to make this a place where folks can share their experience with aphantisa especially since a lot of artists actually have it! So share away I'd love to hear folks'stories and experiences! And ask away if y'all have any questions for me as well!Apr 11, 2024
