self-portrait w/silkworms

For this painting, I studied Frida Kahlo's self-portraits which heavily contains symbolism.
Since my first year in university is coming to an end, I decided to make a painting that represents my current mental state compared to before.
In the progress of finding photos, I came across my old videos also.
What I see is a different person energy-wise. So lively and warm. I see that by time, I lost my sense of joy and bliss. Become colder. Surrounded by cars, buildings, crowd and noises.
I used images of my memories vaguely all around the painting for them to protect me from negative surroundings. The necklace refers to my new interests and the new me that l found whilst trying to find the old me.
What I refer to with silkworms is the change of mine (with a pinch of reference to my name ). And all three different states represent different states of my life.
With this painting, I am hoping to leave my cocoon and fly high.
