Green Green Forest Boy
Artfol user Skarfee uploads two artworks over a weekend, people stunned?!?!But in all seriousness I've been wanting to do this as soon as I saw it. I thought Saturn would perfectly fit, as fae is a wannabe forest fairy.
This is actually a lot harder than I thought, but I preserved. My brain kept wanting to do things in my style, so I really couldn't turn my brain off for too long. I had to keep thinking "How would Uxue draw this?" I had a collage of refrences, but I still had to think about it on a lot of things. You really have to put yourself in someone else's mind when you're drawing in their style.
Drawing in others style can really help you improve. It puts you out of your comfort zone. It helps you notice details you wouldn't otherwise. It makes you use techniques you wouldn't use regularly. And so much more!
I personally think it's somewhat simplistic, but she does have a simplistic style. If I rendered it more it would become unrecognizable. I wanted to put like 5 different colors layers over it like I usually do. It's actually weird to see my art without so many extreme effects. It made me work around it. But to be fair, I kinda love how this looks.
