lavender fieldsi have trouble simplifying my landscapes while still having enough detail. i think my use of soft-edged brushes in the background didn't help, but is there anything else i can work on? any advice is appreciated!Apr 19, 2021

I think you've simplified the shapes really effectively honestly, it comes across really well!
I'd maybe suggest looking into aerial perspective as you get closer to background elements, possibly checking out some borodante videos over on YouTube, he covers it a lot
Also maybe looking at how other artists approach landscape speed paints and trying out some of their techniques? The lasso tool can be a really fun way to approach landscapes as a start point to work from or even for finished paintings if you like - @lucky.melon / @madeleineink , @justin_donaldson_art and @lulusketches on instagram are some artists I know focus on landscapes that you can check out to see how they approach it in different ways
