Okay so i would LOVE to make little posters w/ my TTRPG parties, but i have NO idea how to figure out the composition and trying to find inspo/references is a living hell, does anyone know some good ways to go about making pieces like that???

You can try to copy movie posters maybe? Like star wars and avengers usually have a bunch of people on the posters. Maybe use their poses and composition for some inspo. You could even take pics of yourself in different reference poses. My go to references for action poses is senshi stock on deviantart, though I think she has a new name now.
