@Ruuyia's post on Artfol
So I've been thinking and I would love to ask to those who follow my comic Espero, since I'm exploring different arguments depending on the platform I post my story, that since the story will develop into a romantic plot where the main female protagonist will fall in love with another woman, that maybe the main antagonist will change his own gender into a woman as well in order to be more attractive to the protagonist.
Since the antagonist is a gender fluid entity, this is something completely possible. In fact, the rest of the story he will remain as she, hehe.
What do you think? Should I change the main antagonist's gender?
In the other comic I post in Faneo this won't happen and he'll remain as a man, haha.Dec 6, 2023

I like the idea of a female antagonist.
I would prefer he remains as a man.

If I'm being perfectly honest, i think i'm not against the idea, but it's seems like a very sensitive thing. Like, I know a bit about tropes related to lgbt+ people, and the idea itself makes perfect sense to me, but the associations I have are not great, sadly. For a moment it makes me worried because there's some tropes like "lesbian predator" and "trans woman predator/scary crossdresser" that are best to avoid, and they can still be present if you didn't intend them, but at the same time, I know that you have trans women and queer women in your story, so I think it's the matter of how you write their actions and feelings as opposed to Humn's. Humn shapeshifting to try and get Cali's attention feels very in-character to me tbh, and if her friends that share some traits with Humn (trans and female especially) are actively on her side, it could make for a very interesting story. I'm sorry if this sounds like a lecture, but that is pretty much all I have. Maybe you've thought about it already idk

Me when villanas mujeres

•I really love the idea of the antagonist changing his gender in an attempt to win the protagonist! It does make sense for him as a deity to be able to do it and I think it’s very likely for Humn to do it (also it’s not something you see a lot in comics in general)
