Making a connection (day 18)
PLEASE READ STORY BELOW!! (this is a drawtober story, check out my other posts to catch up :)Willow gnawed on her lip, trying to keep her cool. The place was so crowded and loud, it felt like the same thing that led to her first panic attack. She tried to keep her focus and keep moving, though there wasn’t a lot of room to walk. People blocked off most of the animals, and she wasn’t about to push through them. She skirted around the reptiles and avoided the birds which were the loudest in the place. She couldn’t get any space to look at the rodents, animals she had always been fond of in the woods. While she waited for people to clear out from the rodents, she spotted a lonely kitten. It was sitting in the back corner of the cage while its siblings got all the attention up front. Willow walked up with just enough space to feel comfortable. “Hi there, little guy. Are you shyer than the other kittens?” The little black kitten blinked and yawned before coming closer to her. Willow was suddenly giddy. ‘Maybe this is it!’ She thought. She poked her fingers into the cage to try and touch its soft fur.Oct 19, 2020
