Last week I asked about your ocs going from good/hero to evil/villain.
What about ocs that go from evil/villain to good/hero?
Mortemis not only goes from hero to villain, he also goes from villain to hero LOL. Basically right after he is killed by the farmer he is resurrected at the age of 25 in some frozen wasteland with no prior memories to who he is. He's naturally always trying to do what he believes he's right so he goes on a little adventure to save the day. Even after he gets the memories back of his previous life he ultimately rejects and reflects, returning to the body of his very first life to protect his first love.
In a book series I'm planning, Valentine initially starts off as a villain in the first book before becoming an outright antagonist in the second, with the goal of completing destroying the homeland of the protagonist and eventually the world due to his belief that almosy everyone has wronged him. He's get a slap in the face (literally) and comes to his senses, helps the protagonist defeat the monster he summoned and then sacrifices his life to save the protagonist from falling to her demise.Jun 18, 2023

Nimbus doesn't really have a moral preference to evil--he pretty easily joined forces with a good guy that impressed him--but he was pretty destructive and problematic (kill count was over 400 and he left razed villages in his wake) before said good guy came around to give him a constructive outlet.

I kinda love characters that just gets some sense slap into their head and are like “you know what, I was wrong. Let’s fix this”. It’s just really funny to me (in a good way).
I guess that I do have an oc who turns “good” or rather stop being batshit evil cause he found love.

Luka and Leon both go through this.
They both start off as speciest asshats against the opposite species - Luka, a human, has his village destroyed and family mostly killed by demon raiders and thus develops a deep hatred towards demons, having already been taught that magical species are monsters and a threat his whole life but not believing it until then; Luka is a demon who had his demon settlement destroyed by humans, along with getting treated like shit by them for much of the rest of his life.
Luka, in his quest to somehow find power that can compete with demons and their magic, loses memory of a stretch of time of perhaps a few weeks. When he wakes up in a small, nondescript wooden cart in the middle of the Arcane Wilds, his hands and other parts of his body have a blue skin color that ends in electricity-like patterns, and there's a faintly glowing blue symbol somewhere on his body. The vibrantly colored bits of his body resemble a trait many Omens have (humans born with a certain specific magic ability), only they have it from birth.
Soon enough he discovers he indeed has some magical abilities now. He starts using them against demons - the first time he uses them in self-defence, then he becomes sort of a bounty hunter for magical creature, but with a well-known preference for hunting down demons, thus being called a demon-hunter. Pretty fucked up since demons are just people in my world
However, when he discovers that the powers he got came from having a ritual done that sealed a demon and his power inside of him, and then having his memory wiped of that timeframe, it kind of. Really fucks him up and sobers him enough to start questioning his beliefs.
He starts to reject his and his colleagues way of life as he works to learn more about the one he's gotten his powers from, as well as the magical entities around him.
Obviously his captures and kills won't be undone, but there at the very least won't be any more, and he's trying to help now

•My OC Kieran goes from Villain to hero. They're a good person at heart but bad situations and some societal brainwashing induced internalised homophobia and stuff made them go bad. Their superhero, Hero (yeah he's a hero named hero lol) goes from hero to villain to neutral lol he's figuring out who he wants to be rather than following others (his brother at first then Kieran)

I don’t really have any villain to hero OCs but I do have three villain to anti-hero OCs. Two of them (who I accidentally both named Mia) were forced to be spies/assassins but now how teamed up to take down their former “employer” and they met another lady named who goes by Cruella and she decides to team up with the Mia’s just for the fun of it.

•I wouldn’t call him a villain, more of an antagonist. Scott was being manipulated by his family to harm Cameron. He was told that sacrificing him would be the only way to save his sister. Not wanting to lose another family member, he goes along with it.
But during the sacrifice he realizes how messed up that is and saves Cam. Cam and his friends aren’t too pleased with being around him after that but Scott redeems himself
