Coraline 15th Anniversary art

Happy 15th Anniversary to Laika's Coraline ️

Ever since I learned that my favourite stop-motion movie was re-released in theatres for its 15th anniversary, I wanted to make a celebratory art to show my appreciation to Coraline for being such an amazing movie I decided to re-imagine the cake scene in the movie I started working on this piece a few days ago, and just finished doing the final touch up. Though it was a time-consuming piece, I actually had a lot of fun drawing this. There are a few aspects of this illustration that seem a bit off, but I'm really happy with the overall outcome, especially capturing the cosy tone and eerie vibes with the Other Mother about to gradually transform

About a fortnight ago, I had the opportunity to see the remastered edition of Coraline for its 15th anniversary at the theatres with my friends. I, of course, enjoyed it! It was so nice watching it again but in big screen with enhanced visuals and sound system ️ During the segment when my favourite song, Exploration was played, it sounded much clearer than being faint in the original version which I find so much comfort in that song
