Help with design please?

So I’m makes a new oc and they’re actually going to have some sort of story but I can’t get the design to feel good.
The lace is supposed to be whiter and I feel the cloak should be a shade of beige or cream?? It just doesn’t feel right at all with the colors pls help. Also bug friend feels off :(

Her vibe is supposed to be quiet and reserved but really friendly. She’s the main character I guess, and bug friend is her little sidekick bff. They both live in a area with extremely heavy rain that can do physical damage so the bugs(native species to the land) have evolved hard shells that protect them. Everyone that lives in that land have made special coats that “cut through” and protect them from the rain. The design itself being inspired by the native bugs. Also the bug is poisonous, hence why it’s so colorful :)Nov 18, 2021
