what's a kind of artist u hate:

well for me is the artist/person who would spam a random group chat with photos of their art
Without asking

And then looking for compliments in that same group chat

And the ai artist
why l hate them
Their literary not doing the art
The ai is doing the art

And l kinda see it as lazy to have a ai do the art

Sorry if l seem rude there

so what kind of artist do u hate?

Personally, I hate when really big, established artists start selling set after set of extremely specific brushes (some of which are even stamps that paint entire things for you) and market all of them as a "must" or "all you need" in order to "master" painting [insert specific object]. I see it as preying on newer, inexperienced artists who don't know where to start improving their art and don't understand that what you need is a good grasp of fundamentals, not a brush that paints trees for you.
I don't think I can say hate even though this is a seriously annoying thing to me, but those big artists that try to tell smaller creators to not get to caught up on attention and big audience
Meanwhile they can sell like $200 comms easily and have like 10k followers

I mean I agree with the statement, especially if at is supposed to be more of a hobby but it's just like... ofc you can say that, you're not in a position anymore to worry about it. I'd, I just find it like... lacking self awareness in a way.
I was gonna say “wow I don’t hate any specific artists!” Then read the rest of the post and YIKES YE THEYRE HORRIBLE

Hate is a strong word so I don’t really HATE artists who do this but I get quite annoyed when artists who either barely posted or interacted in the app ask why they aren’t getting enough recognition
I honestly don't know where'd they get the confidence to do it. For me it's too much if I comment a post really
So yeah, I guess that goes for me as well
I’m definitely a fan of sellouts. Starting with doing art out of enjoyment and then once the money starts rolling in, that’s all that matters. Quality goes down but money goes up them. (Especially those pieces that are 1-2 colors on a canvas and sell for millions. So annoying)
It would be fixed your artists. I'm sorry but 98% of the is just those people just remove things that they don't like about the art, and race swaps some of them. This is another reason why I won't use Twitter.
I agree with both of these

Also AI artists are not even artists, fight me 😩 they didn’t make anything, they just typed in a prompt
I don’t know many different types of artists. Only one I can think of is tracing. Never been a fan of people who trace and don’t try. I think people should try to draw what they want instead of immediately tracing and getting a A+ in school when they traced.
I don't necessarily hate this, but find it a bit annoying/upsetting: artists who continuously or constantly say their posts "flop" or "pls don't let it flop".
I can understand that when artists spend so much time and effort on something just to see it doesn't really get anyone's attention it can be disheartening but I personally don't believe it's other peoples' job to give a post a lot of likes, etc.
I used to follow an artist on Instagram who had amazing art but they would talk about their stuff flopping so often, I eventually unfollowed.
Talking about flopping is completely fine, but constantly? I'm sorry but not my kind of tea :(.
The ones who use your OCs without asking and then ask if you like it, or make art with your OCs + their OCs together or ship art or smth and it’s not even a surprise or gift it’s just a random piece of art
ppl who say stuff like "ur so talented i could never draw like that 😢" and similar. people who are negative in general, like bro. idc. it's your job to improve if that's your desire.

also ppl who trace.

i guess i dislike these two the same amount.
I think I only dislike them because I just don’t understand it at all. it’s the ones that only want to get recognition/fame and don’t do art because they enjoy it. For me, I think it’s important that an artist loves/needs to create not just wants the fame. Like creating art for art itself. Like people who steal other peoples art an claim it’s their own are scumbags but also the ones that do art just to make money (making money is alright, I mean the ones who actively help to launder money!)
I'm annoyed by people, especially on artfol, who expect to get a lot of followers and comments quickly but don't even bother to reply to comments they get, leave them on other people's art, write captions or do anything that would make them interesting as a person. If you only want to use artfol as a gallery of your art, sure, but don't be whiny if you don't get 20+ likes in 2 weeks. That's why artfol got so many negative reviews in the beginning.
Also something I don't mind that much anymore but that annoyed the hell out of me when artfol was newer were people who posted more than 3 artworks at once, cause there was only the recent page and it stopped after a certain amount of posts. You clog up the feed with your own artwork and other people don't get seen
I hate artists that explicitly ask for critique/tipps/workarounds and you try to help them and write a long thing, and the only reaction (If anything) is a like on the comment. Like, is it really that hard to write "hey thanks for the comment, I appreciate it"?? I really don't like the 'likes comments and never reacts in other ways' in general , yeah, you might be shy but Goddamnit Im not standing in front of you
If I have to be honest I don’t really like people in general, regardless of the fact I don’t want to be lonely. I don’t care about other artist enough to hate much at all.
people who are kinda snobby, regardless of how good they are. its just hard to vibe with them.

and i guess people who expect compliments without giving any themselves/ never interact with people at all outside of that. again just hard to vibe

sometimes the self depreciating type, if its just casually sure. but if all interactions with the person is them saying their art sucks then it gets kind of bothersome because it becomes the routine “youre art doesnt suck” because you don’t want to be rude. particularly the omg your art is so good, I wish my art were as good as yours because mine sucks so much thing (not to be weirdly specific whbdksk)
Also, when artists throw a temper tantrum when they don't get exposure on social media and delete their accounts. For example, "I'm not doing good on Instagram for my artwork. I'm deleting my Instagram, and making a Facebook or a Twitter account, for my artwork."
Artists that never seen your work, but you always see and comment on their work. Some Artists will block you if you call them out. Art thiefs.
Any artist that puts someone down for petty reasons. I genuinely despise not only artists but people in general who put others down for the most abysmal reasons.
Uhh I guess maybe thin lineart and shading wig only 2-3 shades of the hue

But if we talking the actual people, I’d say the ones that are bad at taking advice and just end every sentence (even not sentences) with a period... they just don’t pass the vibe check
Man the ppl that are saying they don’t like the self loathing artists ;-;
Sorry guys, not doing it for attention I just genuinely think I suck at every little thing I do and I have to apologize for my own existence.
Cryptids, like people who only post and then run, barely bothering to even title their works and rarely reply their comments and when they do they use super short sentences and then one day they delete out of nowhere. 😑
People who constantly have to run their every move by their followers. Like if you wanna post some art of your oc, POST THE ART, you don’t need their permission.
So.. I don't HATE particularly but am really annoyed by. But I have met and have friends who downplay themselves.. HARD and I genuinely think it's for more attention at this point.

They are AMAZING artists but then pretend like they suck or aren't that great or anyone can do what they do. That it's easy.

And it makes me upset that they would downplay themselves so badly, but also call it easy. It's not easy, you just happen to have a gift!

They were the same with Math. I hate math and suck at it but they were a mathematical genius and just said "it's easy, I just copy what the teacher does" and it comes off as like.. a slap in the face in a way?

I know they aren't trying to look down on others. And they aren't trying to get a big ego. But dang it!
The doomers and the self loathing type honestly. It's not great constantly trashing their own work and yet still do nothing to actually improve on it the way they envision it to be.
basically what the other two comments said, those kind of people are jeebweezers 🤕 [seriously though they kinda suck]
I don't like artists that are pretty arrogant and ungrateful towards the people that support them.
A kind of artist I hate is one who's a snob for no reason.
