I sometimes feel like the entire internet doesn’t understand what fiction is anymore. Characters are tools to explore ideas, not real people you’re supposed to agree or disagree with

people nowadays will straight up see a main character that’s ain’t a villain do bad things and suddenly equate that to bad writing for some reason and a “ why should I care”. Idk what going on, Like everyone mentally 12 now
