For me I immediately get suspicious when they
a) dm me when I've had no other interaction with them before (this is the most important one)
b) have an irl photo of a face as their profile pic
c) have no posts at all despite being an artist account
Or they are a non artist account. I swear, every single non artist account ended up being either a bot or someone looking to get nfts (or both)
Which is a shame, cause that could cause hostility to non-artist accounts of people who genuinely just want to look at the art

The devs definitely need to do something about these bots :(
I so far haven't dealt with any but I'll definitely look out for them and make sure I block and report them

Yeah, I totally get that!
On Artfol though, usually bots do have a PFP (usually of an actual person), but the username is like “namename123” & they either have no posts, or they do, but they’re very spammy &/or are stolen images that can be reported if you can find a link to the OG artist.
