I’d love to make some artist friends on here, so I thought I’d start a QOTD kinda thing. So here we go: what is your go to source for references? Mine is always Pinterest. I have separate boards for every subject matter

Sometimes I take pictures of my self lol. But I usually look up specific poses on safari. Pinterest is a good idea though

•Depends on what I'm doing, but I love using my own photos. U can get some pretty interesting compositions and angles u can't always get from google that way! I did a whole series for my senior project using pictures of the sky I took from my bedroom window

But also since I'm really into drawing people as they do stuff, I use tiktok lives and just draw random creators! It's so much fun like you guys have no idea

•Other than using Pinterest like everyone else, recently I’ve been trying to find my “own” references (rather than randomly generated ones) by finding photographers on Instagram/Twitter/Facebook and saving works that inspire me. I also use figurine photography which are often super cool

•Yeah, I often use Google images for ref and it can be painful. Like, I'll need someone running in profile with clothes right enough to see muscle structure. Hard to explain to Google...
