Hiligaynon is actually a language!! There's a misunderstanding between language and dialect. Ilonggo is a dialect of Hiligaynon, the same as Bisaya is a dialect of Cebuano. But Cebuano and Ilonggo are two different languages! That said, I know English, Filipino, Bisaya, and a smattering of Ilonggo. I spoke Ilonggo before but I lost it after moving to a different place :D I also learned two years of basic Japanese but I can't speak it fluently nor watch anime without subs XD
