For choosing a style I would say compile a list of artists that inspire you/ motivate you then add characteristics from each style and see how it goes

Don't choose a style! Try many different styles. My style changes everyday but because of my skills and what I like there still is some things in my work that make it look like mine. But I wouldn't have gotten there without trying out different things styles

Honestly anything can motivate you! I personally let music, shows, comics, Mangas, games, or even my friends serve as motivation for my art. Uhhh as far as style goes it honesty just depends on what you personally enjoy. I started drawing when I was 11 and I really enjoyed anime and western comic books at the time (along with mostly Japanese fighting games) and that heavily influenced my art I believe ^^ I'd like to think I have a mixture of both the western and anime style but that's such a broad thing to say since there are so many unique styles tucked into those two categories xD anyways I hope this helps a little!

•You can motivate yourself by listening to music that reminds you of a character, you can watch videos of people drawing to make you want to draw too. To choose a style (although I do not have a drawing style established) you can see characteristics of the drawings of your favorite artists and go testing and mixing because something as "your own style" does not exist since everyone's artstyle is simply a mix of the artstyles they like.
