21 yr old accounting student with a Wacom bamboo from 2007, clip studio. S*posterDisappointed with Loki series as a bi fan. Not just bc it was literally just mentioned in a one-off scene, but bc it felt like one of the most interesting part of the comics was never adapted.
Spoilers for Al Ewing's Agent of Asgard, Loki show:
Where is lady Loki? Seriously, she was such a crucial part of Loki's arc in that series. The shifting between more masc/femme presentations as the mood strikes was very much tied to the arc of owning up to his mistakes and accepting them throughout the series. As in, that doesn't happen until a bunch of soul searching and introspection.
Now, what was the theme of the TV show? Yes, Loki rebelling against his role as the designated villain and gradually coming into terms with everything he's done. Seriously, this is both a botch job on LGBT rep and comics accuracy.
This is before we get into that one mythological storyline of Loki and Thor dressing up as a bride and a bridesmaid to get a fairly important thing back from a giant(? been a while since I read it). And Loki is just like... chill with it there.Jul 15, 2021
