I recently completed another digital artwork, featuring my beloved original character, Liliana Oleander. I always enjoy portraying Liliana because she holds such a special place in my world. She is the sweetheart of Arlon Florian, her partner in both love and countless stories. Every time I create a new piece of art with Liliana, This time, I was particularly focused on capturing a graceful pose I had recently come across. The moment I saw it, I knew it would be perfect for Liliana, as it embodied the elegance and beauty she consistently carries.In this piece, Liliana stands in a lush, vibrant garden. The greenery, vibrant flowers, and clear skies create a peaceful, serene backdrop that enhances her carefree and blissful aura. I wanted the setting to reflect her joyful nature, a vibe that radiates whenever I think of her character. The garden's natural beauty mirrors the purity and grace she exudes, as she seems to almost float, her soft curves and warm smile inviting viewers into her world. She is truly a beacon of light in a world that sometimes feels dark and cold.
It feels like she’s experiencing a moment of pure happiness, dancing in the garden, free from any worries or troubles. I always begin my digital creations with nude croquis. This is the bare-bones foundation of the pose, allowing me to study the posture in its most basic form before layering on the details of the outfit and surrounding elements. Once I was satisfied with the structure of her body, I moved on to clothing her in the romper dress, a decision that felt natural for the playful, summery atmosphere I was aiming to capture.
