Dr. Sidone

Introducing, one of my all time favorite characters from my comic, Memory's Child: Dr. Sidone, the Miracle Worker!
He's the most recent in a long string of Miracle Workers, all of whom share the Book of Knowledge (a power stolen from the gods). With this power, he is able to know everything-- albeit, not all at once. If he wonders about something, however, he will instantly know the answer, and the Miracle Workers' knowledge is accumulative; anything his predecessors learned in their lifetime is also part of his information base.
With that said, Dr. Sidone is a unique Miracle Worker in that he's a lot more involved with the world than those before him. He's known to do the impossible just for the fun of it! He's also for hire-- if you can afford him-- to do anything you can imagine and then some! Although generally good natured, he's morally grey and business is business... however, if he doesn't want to do what you're hiring him for, he'll gladly charge you extra to make it worth his while... and he rarely accepts money as payment. No, no... he'd rather require you to perform a task in return.
Conversely, if he sympathizes with your situation or he just finds you entertaining, he's likely to give you a significant discount or even make an offer that doesn't really benefit him; oftentimes, the things he asks you to do in return for his services turn out to benefit you more than anyone else. Given his infinite knowledge, he tends to look out for others in ways they can't look out for themselves... although he'll probably have some fun messing with your head while he's at it.
Deep down inside, he's actually really nice, but that won't stop him from poking fun at you!Jan 26, 2025
