Soooo i was kinda thinking abt Gina n Gus's relationship as siblings
Like I know for a fact that I want them to b close, like 2 peas in a pod
Bc, they only have eachother. They're on journey together try to look for help to get rid of the GLITCH that took away their best friend and their entire hometown. And from the looks of it, maybe it would've always been that, Gina and Gus being eachothers best friend to the very end.
FYI in the demo, it seems that Gus and the betwixt kids(what I call Gus, Conrad, Norma, and Jihn) kinda drifted apart. When u go to Gus's house n examine his couch, says that the gang used to hang out with eachother. Norma, Conrad and Jihn went off to date other ppl, and Conrad was probably busy training for hero academy if he wasn't doing….couple things with Norma bgfhmcxd, not to mention how Gus just immediately wanted to befriend u, the player, despite only knowing u for like a day?? So in this AU, asides from the fact that theyre twins, n twin siblings r naturally more close than normal siblings, it'd make sense for them to be super close.
But then again A.) Gina's characterization is in construction rn, (bc as u can imagine, I don't know enough abt GLITCHED bc of it not being released yet and only being a demo djdjdjdj) but one of the personality traits that seems to stick with her is that between her and Gus, she's the more socially adept one and she's a bit more of a go getter(?). So wouldn't it make sense that in this AU, the Betwixt kids r still together bc Gina took initiative in still trying to keep in contact with em. Although that is assuming Gus never made the effort to stay in touch n that it wasnt due to them just. Naturally growing up n stuff
Also B.) I dont want em to b like tooo close yknow??
Like for Gina n Gus to have this absolutely perfect sibling relationship where theyre attached to the hip, with no arguing, and its all sunshine n rainbows???
I'm also wondering if I should make the twins be complete opposites of eachother? As a said earlier, an idea for them that seems to have stuck ever since I first thought of the AU was that while Gus is socially awkward, Gina is a bit more of a social butterfly(is that the term???)

what if pre-GLITCH, they were the generic twin siblings trope who do everything together, get along swimmingly, n r known as thing 1 and thing 2, as they don't have any distinct personalities. But then, after a going thru a shit ton of things over the course of ONE WHOLE DAY MIND YOU (Conrad getting GLITCHED away, going on a journey to Gunden that, depending on u play, might've been rlly troublesome, seeing their bebo die right in front of them and being stuck in jail for 3 weeks over something, and as icing on the cake they or maybe Gina idk tasked with saving the world from GLITCHES) the twins start to change, becoming more distinct personality wise, and actually start to have conflict.
Or maybe a mix of both? Maybe instead of being complete opposites from one another, they are different but in a way that compliments each other??? Or maybe they are similar, but not the same.
I know that since this is a choice based game and I want this AU to be this sort of thing everyone can get their hands on?? I'll allow ppl to think of scenarios in which the player can try to sabotage their relationship/more angsty portrayal of the Twins relationship.
Buuut like, I don’t necessarily consider the route in which the player fundementally damages their relationship for good (like how it seems to happen for most adult siblings for some reason
Srsly tho havent u noticed that like in media theres no such thing as adult siblings who r still close and love eachother??? Like usually when theres a series that stars adult siblings its either theyre forced to fight eachother on opposing sides, its abt them making amends to their estranged relationship or if they do have a loving relationship its only told to us bc said sibling is not in the story, just a backstory a character tells to the MC or said sibling is dead.

Instead of having these issues tear em apart it makes their bond even stronger
