i got a question for y’all

how long does it take you guys to complete pieces?

just wondering cause i do the simplest stuff and it usually takes me 7+ hours

which is why i post twice a week at mostMay 6, 2021

2-3 hrs? I usually hyper fixate on it once I start so it takes lesser time. Occasionally I don't know how to get the desired effect so I have to try different things which might extend to 4hrs at max

It usually takes me a week or so to finish something. But if I’m working on something really detailed like my golden snub-nosed monkey it can take a month or more

Oh I can’t even answer this, because it varies like all the time :’) Depending on my motivation and how big the piece is, it could take from a range of either an hour or two to a few days, maybe even a week or something

Around 12 hours? I can only do one every few weeks or I burn out after a while!

Sketches and busts can take an hour, others around a week for more detailed stuff

I’m gonna sound like a parrot here, but it really depends. If I’m whipping up a new character, it could take days for their initial portrait. A whole comic page could take hours or days depending on complexity.

Anywhere from 4-8 hours for finished pieces. My sketches usually take 20-40 minutes to do (depending on whether I wanna do colors or not)

It depends, usually full colored pieces take at least 4 hours, it can go up to 8-12 hours if it’s more detailed
And I don’t finish an artwork in one day, even if it’s simple. I like to leave it unfinished for the next day or for a week and just take my time with it :)

With paintings, days to weeks. When I paint bottles, about a week. I never finish a piece in less than a week unless it's like a card or a paint study. Or if I'm doing an experiment

Happy Friday! For me, I usually take 5 to 25 hours, which takes me a few days (these days just one or two since I'm challenging myself to be more faster) to a few weeks (sometimes, even months if the artsblock and my sched clash together) I usually take long due to my indecisiveness and trying to make things perfect in my eyes. ️” but then I realize I hyper fixate on finishing a piece and I have no concept of time passing so what seems fast is actually 2-4 hours of work

Depends, most complicated ones could be up to one till two weeks, but usually it was 2-3 days for normal ones

2 to 8 hours. Depends more on how many characters there are than anything else.

It takes me about 5ish hours spread between two days.

I agree with everyone else, it depends! A portrait with no background takes me about 1-2 hours, but lets say a full body character interacting with a background takes 3-7!
