I’m not sure if you wanted a reply tho this but i think if you spend all your time thinking about how someone will misinterpret your work or create a bad faith reading of it, you’ll never create anything.
There’s a kind of robot in my work, and he’s accepted into his society, but if someone were to interpret that as me being pro ai then they’ve wildly misunderstood what I was getting at and that’s not my problem.
It is annoying if they would come harass me over it but I’m the type to just screenshot all the harassment and publish it without responding
like if someone wants to act foolish I don’t have to be nice about it- I technically don’t even have to respond, the block button is an amazing gift.

•To better clarify what I mean, my story contains a lot of classic robot tropes like grow beyond their programming, just a machine , do Android Dream, evil ai , etc but one of them is mainly about robots being accepted into space society and them becoming more “ human” and gaining autonomy and emotions if that makes sense. Obviously I know these are common sci-fi robot tropes that have been around for decades but I’m afraid of media illiterate people getting the wrong idea and start applying it to real life ai. But then again I’m not sure about having those concepts anymore in my story yet If I do remove those concepts idk what else I would do with my story so …
