I know it’s a website for placing oc’s and their art but what exactly is it?

Do you recommend that I make one?
Is it a good website?
How is your experience?
Why do we need a code to make an account?

please be careful if you want to go into the community section or whatever that is cuz I hear it's bad. I haven't used it but people said its bad for that uh closed species and whatever else is in there.
the site is good for his character reference and I'm just using everyone else as a reference cuz I haven't been able to figure out what to do with my characters information and their references cuz I don't know how to place my information at all cuz I am dumb.
a lot of people who are good at placing their information or writing it are a great references if you don't know how to put down your OC's information cuz it's very difficult and I'm using people I follow specifically or new people who have interesting looking profiles of their ocs cuz it's like oh a reference.
at least for me. that's only a main thing cuz I've been struggling with this for a while even before I used the site
you can also use the folders if you have stories or want to do designs or whatever else you have for them. you don't have to use the folders for characters if you don't have the story for them as well some people have different things too

you can the a word for letting just a specific small or big group see your characters. there is one that has your characters only viewable to people on the site to.

its six am and i can barely think straight so i cant answer these in depth like id like to but as a simple answer id just say to try it out for a bit and see what its like/how you like it

It is just a depository website for your characters. But a lot of accts there sell adoptables. You don't have to.
Make one if you just want a place to keep records of your characters instead of an old fashion notepad.
The answer for needing a code is right on the front page. Bc it is still in beta.
