(Not me debating whether I should say something about this or not) So👏 season 4 ep 1 of miraculous ladybug
Uhh spoilers btw if you care :)

So I uhh watched truth earlier today....
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!! (I didn’t like it)
That is all goodbye 👋
(Ha! Jk i wish but no imma talk about it 🙄)
Right so...am I the only one who felt it was rushed?
No?
Just me?
Epic.
Yeah it was too rushed (for me at least.) I’ve thought about it, and I think part of it is that the whole plot point was squished into one episode instead of fleshed out into multiple.
Also the trope of ‘’oh I’m a superhero, but I can’t tell you that I’m a superhero because you’ll be in danger dramatic sigh So instead whenever we hang out and I am needed as my other self I must come up with overly complicated excuses as to why I left/had to leave, and slowly break down your trust to dust bc I keep on bailing out on you even though I never meant to,’’ to be overdone (sorry I’m a dc fan, this has already been done with Superman, and Lois MULTIPLE times soo yeah😬)
Anyway, I feel like there was little to no build up as to why Luka felt the way he did, minus the few short scenes of course.
I think this trope can be done well, with the proper thought put into it, it’s just that when executed poorly, it falls flat. Hard.
Also..idk..Luka in the episode and his akumatized self didn’t really feel like him, and yes it’s ok to break character sometimes, idk it just felt unnatural and forced/rushed to me...
Also also the reveal that Jagged Stone was his father, was so unsatisfactory ._. Like what? Why did that have to be done???
(Sheesh that was long >< plz don’t hate me for saying that. We can have different opinions. I’d love to hear yours too!)

I know I'm late it that's basically how I felt half of the time
I haven't watched ML since the first season due to putting it off but also due to their pacing problems. And I've been keeping tabs on it.

Miraculous is an episodic show, each episode is it's own thing and not attached to each other. With is ideal with networks doing reruns without a care of timeline. But miraculous also wants to world build and have an overarching plot. Most shows would stop with the episodic nature around season 2/3 so that the story arch can get moving. Miraculous seems to flipflop between the two, which is messing with pacing.

Also the jagged stone thing should of been an episode in itself.
