Though I did modified the shading to fit my style overtime. I did this by taking my favorite artists shading with my own style to mix them all and create my current shading.

•I would recommend using a nice range of light to dark colors in a piece. You can check your values by putting your drawing in a gray scale to make sure all your colors aren’t the same shade of gray. If you just can’t get your colors to work together you could try putting a solid color overlay layer over the whole thing and turn the opacity down, it should help to coordinate the colors a bit. If not, just play around with color pallets until you find some you like. At the end the day it’s your art and you can do whatever you want :)
