Shared this little step-by-step last night on my Patreon & Kofi and decided I would share it here too.

Another very basic tutorial on my fake oil-painting style. Honestly, those texture layers do the most work. Sometimes I paint a few strokes over them to make it look more like an oil painting and fiddle with the layer opacity and different textures.

The brushes I use come from various sets, and the texture layouts might have come from one of them, too, but I need to look into it.Apr 5, 2026
