By the way!! NO SPOILERS!! If you've ever played the game Sky, I'm simply asking, how long it took of you to know if you like the game or not? I got it on Nintendo Switch because I loved Journey, but Sky seems to be more...
With Journey, I felt the artistic expression.
Launching Sky, I see cool visual design with not much gameplay except loops of moving from here to there and pressing the Y button. Market forces are also front and center since it reminds you of cosmetic in-game purchases and seasonal passes.
I'm unsure of this world! This is my first impression. I don't know if there's fun to be had. I will give it a second look very soon, and a fair chance.Sep 13, 2024

Tbh after you like finish all the realms and get all the spirits it just becomes a grindy dress up game with devs that are just getting greedier and greedier.
Try not to get swept up in the FOMO and try not to burn yourself out (like I did).
Honestly the game is the most fun when you find a good group of friends to play with everyday (it is a social game after all… but it feels like the devs forgot about that). Friends really make the game a lot better. When I get on now I rarely do it to grind anymore, I just get on to socialize and talk with people
Honestly it didn’t take me long to love the game, I started 3 years ago during the season of the little prince which got me very hooked. But now it’s just not the same
especially when the company is just pumping out events left and right while the game is a buggy mess

I love playing Sky due to their flying mechanics and playing the instruments! Though after finishing the main part, there isn’t much to do other than grind for currency. It’s fun messing around with friends you meet in game but most of the time they eventually get bored/burnt out and stop
I also typically take long breaks since I get burnt out from it after a while
Like you said, the gameplay is pretty much moving from point A to point B but I get my enjoyment from the collaborative/social part of the game where I help players in certain areas
It’s definitely not for everyone
I would say play the main part to see if you like it, because it shows you the whole gameplay and after that it gets kinda repetitive

There's a game there, but the devs have gotten greedy and overpriced everything. The lore is interesting, and so is the world, but I wish they did something more with it. I used to play it a lot but realised after you complete the main story that it becomes a grind to get useless cosmetics. So I stopped playing.

I've tried playing sky several times (on switch, mobile and ipad!) but it never stuck for me
The graphics are so beautiful but they give almost no instructions or direction so it gets pretty confusing (ik you're supposed to explore and stuff but I get bored of seeing the same scenery all around me
) and it becomes a bit boring after a while:/
Also playing it for too long makes me nauseated but I think that's just a me problem lol
